Sculptra

As we age, our skin loses collagen and hyaluronic acid, which both work together by giving structure and volume to the face. Loss of these can therefore result in wrinkles and sagging of the skin.

With the use of dermal fillers and Sculptra, a biostimulator that promotes collagen production, we can help restore lost volume and reverse the aging process.

What is Sculptra?

Sculptra is FDA-approved to reduce fine lines and deep wrinkles. While traditional dermal fillers are composed of hyaluronic acid, Sculptra is composed of poly-L-lactic acid, which stimulates the growth of your own collagen. Sculptra is strategically injected into areas of the face where you want a fuller or smoother appearance, in areas where volume has been lost.

What can I Expect with Sculptra Treatment?

Poly-L-lactic acid is a collagen stimulator that absorbs into your body a few days after treatment to encourage your cells to produce more collagen.

Your appointment may take 30-60 minutes depending on treatment areas. Sculptra is injected similarly to Hyaluronic Acid dermal fillers. You may have 1-2 vials injected in one visit. Bruising and swelling after Sculptra injections is common and make take a few days to resolve. Schedule your treatment at least two-three weeks before a special event or vacation.

Sculptra is a great alternative to dermal filler by helping with anti-aging and boosting collagen. Depending on your age, Sculptra treatments are recommended in a series of 2-3, scheduled 6 weeks apart. Results build over time as new collagen is formed. Subtle improvement in fine lines and wrinkles will occur within the first 2 months after treatment, and its full result will be at 5 months. Results can last up to 2 years.
