Lipotropic Injections

Tired of your weight loss plateau? Feel like you need a little boost to facilitate your weight loss journey? Lipotropic injections may be exactly what you need!

What are Lipotropic Injections?

Lipotropic injections, or lipo-minos, are fat burning injections that are used to facilitate weight loss and help turn fat into energy. They break down fat by targeting the primary fat deposits. They also help reduce appetite, build muscle, and promote a healthy immune system.

Lipotropic injections are a great tool that can be used to complement your current weight loss regimen. Lipotropics, a “skinny shot,” can help accelerate weight loss by helping you burn fat faster. These injections are ideal for individuals that want a boost for eliminating fat in stubborn areas of the body such as the stomach, inner thighs, buttocks and hips - Ladies, you know what I'm talking about!

What Are The Components of Lipotropics?

Lipotropic injections are composed of a mix of different vitamins, minerals, and amino acids. There are several varieties of Lipotropics, but many contain a combination of B Vitamins. Lipotropics are composed of powerful antioxidants that include inositol, choline, and methionine.

Inositol

Inositol helps the liver remove fats and convert food into energy. It also promotes the production of serotonin, the neurotransmitter that makes us feel good, which helps promote better sleep, fights depression and improves mood. Inositol has other benefits for the body as well, such as stimulating hair growth and improving blood circulation.

Choline

Choline plays a key role in normal functioning of the liver, brain, metabolism, and muscles. Choline also supports the maintenance of the nervous system, aids in memory, and cuts muscle recovery time. In addition, it helps distribute cholesterol and prevents it from getting deposited in the body.

Methionine

Methionine is an amino acid that works similar to inositol and amplifies its effect. It helps break down sugars and carbohydrates and converts it into energy. It also helps with digestion and prevents fatigue. In addition, it is often used for allergies as it has the ability to reduce histamine release.

Vitamin B

The mixture of B Vitamins, including Vitamin B12 (Cyanocobalamin), Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine), Vitamin B1 (Thiamine), and Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin) all work together to further increase energy and facilitate fat loss. This process speeds up your metabolism by targeting fat in the liver and converting it into energy.

Vitamin B has many other health benefits, as it plays a key role in the normal functioning of the brain and nervous system, and in the production of red blood cells. In addition, it helps prevent cardiovascular disease, prevents anemia, improves sleep, balances the immune system, and improves brain health.

What is the Lipotropic (Lipo-Mino Mix) Injection Dose?

The dose for the Lipo-Mino mix is a 1ml injection containing the following:

B6 (Pyridoxine) : 2 mg/ml
Methionine : 12.4 mg/ml
Inositol :  25 mg/ml
Choline : 25 mg/ml
B12 (cyanocobalamin) : 1 mg/ml
B1 (Thiamine) : 50 mg/ml
B2 (Riboflavin) : 5 mg/ml

What are the Side Effects of Lipotropic Injections?

Even given in large quantities, lipotropic injections are not harmful. Your body will simply excrete the components through the urine. Side effects of lipotropics are very rare, generally mild, and well tolerated. It’s suggested to discuss with your healthcare provider before starting any lipotropic injections.

It is possible to have nausea, upset stomach or diarrhea due to the sudden boost of nutrients and vitamins. If this does occur, it should resolve quickly. Possible additional side effects include headache, joint pain, or pain at the injection site. Lipotropic injections are given intramuscularly. The intramuscular injections may be rotated between the upper arm, thigh, or buttock to minimize pain and inflammation.

If you are using lipo-mino injections in addition to a vigorous exercise program or a low-calorie diet, you may experience symptoms such as extreme fatigue, irritability, headaches, jitteriness or lightheadedness. It is important to be cautious if you are on a vigorous exercise program and strict diet.

Allergic reactions are also possible. Side effects of an allergic reaction are itching, hives, shortness of breath, wheezing, swelling of the tongue, throat, or mouth.

Who should avoid taking Lipotropics?

Those with liver or kidney disease, leber’s hereditary optic neuropathy, megaloblastic anemia, or any allergies to any of its component should not receive any lipotropic Injections. In addition it is not to be used during pregnancy or lactation.

How does the Treatment Plan work for Lipotropics?

Lipotropic injections are usually given once or twice a week. It is suggested to make a personalized treatment plan with your provider based on your body goals. This treatment is suggested to be a temporary, short-term treatment, rather than lifelong use. It’s best to use for three months, then to take a break for two months before continuing.

Because lipotropics are administered intramuscularly in injection form, it enters the bloodstream quickly. It therefore bypasses the gastrointestinal tract, having a quicker onset and works immediately.

You may begin to notice increased energy with each dose for a few days following injection. Because of this increase in energy, it is best to avoid getting the injection late in the evening as it is possible to interfere with sleep. The best time to take lipotropics are before a workout.

With consecutive doses, weight loss results will take about 30 days from the initial injection. Individual results do vary, as some take longer to respond to treatment. In addition, results vary greatly based on nutrition and exercise.

What else can I do to Lose Weight?

If lipotropic injections are given without diet and exercise, lipotropics will help maintain your current weight, but weight loss will be minimal. For best results, lipotropics should be given in addition to an individualized weight loss plan. It is also important to make healthy lifestyle habits that include:

  • Regular exercising

  • Walking at least 10,000 steps per day

  • Drinking enough water

  • Avoid processed and fried foods

  • Increase the amount of fruits, vegetables, and plant based foods in the diet

  • Reduce sugar intake

  • Increase fiber-rich foods

Lipotropic injections may be the perfect addition to your weight loss journey. With motivation, a diet and exercise plan, and lipotropics, you will be able to achieve your desired body quicker as long as you stay committed. Not only will lipotropics accelerate your weight loss, but they are also filled with vitamins and amino acids that have many other health benefits.
