PRX Derm Perfexion
PRX Derm Perfexion, also referred to as PRX-T33, is a revitalizing treatment that combines Hydrogen Peroxide, 33% TCA (trichloroacetic acid) and Kojic Acid. It helps rejuvenate the skin and reduce the signs of aging on the skin. This non-invasive procedure, made in Italy, is performed all around the world. It stimulates the regenerative process into the deeper layers of the skin. This penetration into the deeper layers not only leaves the top layer of the skin intact, but also provides immediate firmness, tightening, and hydration. Results will continue to improve over the coming weeks as collagen is regenerated. PRX Derm Perfexion instantly leaves the skin more youthful, radiant, softer, and smoother.

How does PRX Derm Perfexion Work?
As states above, the three ingredients of PRX Derm Perfexion are TCA, hydrogen peroxide and kojic acid. This next generation peel penetrates into the dermis, the layer of skin beneath the epidermis (the outermost layer of the skin). TCA aids in exfoliation and in the reduction of fine lines. Hydrogen peroxide stimulates fibroblast receptors and leads to collagen formation. Kojic acid helps reduce inflammation in the skin’s epidermis, aids in the restoration of cell production, and reduces melanin which helps brighten the skin from discoloration and sunspots. Together these three powerful ingredients help revitalize and rejuvenate the skin from the inside out.
PRX Derm Perfexion may be used on the face or body. Common areas to be treated for the body are the chest, neck, and hands, for loose, sagging skin and to reduce sunspots and stretch marks.

What can I Expect with my PRX Derm Perfexion Treatment?
The treatment involves cleansing the skin and massaging the ingredients into the deeper layers of skin using a firm upward pressure in multiple layers. In just thirty minutes, you revitalize and rejuvenate the skin. It is normal to experience a tingling sensation, but those who have sensitive skin might feel slight burning. No pain is involved in the treatment, rather it is considered to be very relaxing. A moisturizer is then applied, which you are instructed to use at home for one week.
Since there is no downtime, you may resume your normal activities. After the application your skin will look instantly brighter, plumper, tighter, and more rested. You may wear makeup immediately after the session if you wish. You can also go in the sun provided you wear a SPF 40+ (we suggest Alumier’s MD Sheer Hydration SPF 40 Versatile Tint or Sheer Hydration SPF 40 Untinted). Be aware that PRX Derm Perfexion may thin your epidermis, making it tan quicker but also more prone to sunburn. PRX Derm Perfexion is non-photosensitising.
PRX Derm Perfexion is a four series process. It is recommended to have it done four times, one week apart for your face, and six for your body. Maintenance treatments every 6-12 months are then recommended depending on your skin, your age, and your skincare goals.
Are there any Contraindications to PRX Derm Perfexion?
Though PRX Derm Perfexion is safe and widely used throughout the world, there are some restrictions for treatment. You are unable to receive the treatment if you: are pregnant or breastfeeding, have an active infection or irritation at the treatment site, are taking any steroids, have seborrheic dermatitis, are taking antihistamines regularly, have an active herpetic outbreak, have an impaired immune system or autoimmune disease, are undergoing cancer treatments, have an allergy to any of the ingredients or glycolic acid, or if you have sunburned skin.
What are the side effects of PRX Derm Perfexion?
It is possible to have an allergic reaction to any of the ingredients of the treatment (TCA, hydrogen peroxide, or kojic acid).
Redness, flaking and itching are normal after effects. Intense flaking can occur after the first session of PRX Derm Perfexion application on patients with a very thick stratum corneum (usually if you don't exfoliate often). It just means your skin needed to shed some excess dead cells, and may last 2-3 days. Prolonged or delayed redness may occur, particularly on delicate skin, but will improve. Applying the WiQo Moisturizing Face Cream several times a day will help with dry skin, redness, and flaking. If skin is extremely dry, you may apply WiQo Moisturizing Face Cream more frequently.
Appearance of darker patches in the two days following PRX Derm Perfexion application: these are thicker areas of skin drying up and will disappear through natural exfoliation in a few days.
Please note that after application with PRX Derm Perfexion your skin may become sensitized to cosmetics. Stick to the WiQo home care program to avoid any side effects.
What should I avoid Before & After my PRX Derm Perfexion Treatment?
In order to receive PRX Derm Perfexion, skin must be intact. You must avoid waxing, shaving, and dermaplaning for a few days before your treatment. Retinol and other aggressive exfoliating products must be stopped 7-15 days prior to PRX Derm Perfexion treatments. If you recently received botox or dermal filler treatments, it is best to wait two weeks after to receive PRX Derm Perfexion treatments.
During the course of your treatments, do not use any other products besides the post care regimen provided to you. You may resume your regular skincare regime 7 days after your last session.
After each treatment, you must avoid saunas and hot steam for a few days.
If I am doing this before an event, how many days prior should I schedule the appointment?
If you are already familiar with PRX Derm Perfexion and you know your skin’s reaction to it, it is safe to have it done on the same day of your event. If this is the first time you have PRX Derm Perfexion, or if you’re receiving the application after a long time from the last session, we suggest you allow up to 5 days for your skin to resolve any flaking/redness that may occur.
Looking for a boost in your skin prior to a special event? Or looking to reverse the aging process? PRX Derm Perfexion may be the perfect option for you!
